Meetings and Practices
Held Monthly | All Are Welcome
The Shire of Mountain Edge hold regular Council Meetings, Practices, and get-togethers. These are great places to meet your fellows, get some practice in with your weapon or hobby of choice, and raise issues or concerns. Upcoming practices and meetings will be posted to our news blog!
Beulah City Park, Yamhill, OR 97148
We are back in the park and enjoying the Spring weather.
During the spring and summer, fighter practices are held at the Beulah City Park in Yamhill, Oregon. In the Winter practices are held at Yamhill Middle School.
Practices begin at 6pm on Thursdays.
Contact Cedric or Amalric (see officers list) for updates.
Non-fighters are always welcome and encouraged to come socialize. We have a good sized regular attendance, and will always welcome more. If you are planning to attend with a group from your area, please contact either Cedric or Amalric (see officers list) so we can make sure the regulars all know and can attend.
Sometimes we gather for dinner afterwards at a local eatery.

Archery, Thrown Weapons, Rapier, & Equestrian Practices
23205 NE Mountain Top Rd., Newberg OR 97132
Our regular monthly practices will resume in 2018 and will have equestrian, target archery, and thrown weapons at Dragons Den in Newberg. Participants and spectators must sign the equestrian waiver in the house upon arrival - this is an official practice with equestrian insurance. The practice dates are set a year in advance for insurance purposes.
IMPORTANT: If you will be bringing a child 17 or younger for whom you are not the parent or legal guardian, you must contact Macha via email about the waiver signature procedure if you are not familiar with SCA's policies and forms.
IMPORTANT: We can also host a war practice with combat archery at this location. Please contact Macha if you are interested in this (indoor!) activity in February or March. Later in the year this can move outdoors and be in combination with other martial activities at practices. This is an opportunity for war bands to gain more practice with their combat archery units.
Questions? Email Macha about archery, thrown weapons, and equestrian, or Roberto at about rapier.

From Newberg: Take Hwy 219 (College St.) north (towards Hillsboro and Scholls). Just before Chehalem Mountain Pass, turn left onto Mountain Top Rd. (gravel). If you see an elevation sign for the pass, you've missed the turn. Stay on Mountain Top Rd. 2.1 miles (bearing left to remain along the mountain ridge). Watch for white board fences and blue barns - turn right to follow the drive between the white board fences. If you pass a dome home and alpacas on your left, you've missed the driveway. SCA signs will be posted.
From Hillsboro/Scholls/Tigard: Take your best route to Hwy 219 south towards Newberg. Just after the Chehalem Mountain Pass, watch for a sign on your right listing Bald Peak State Park. Turn right - you are now on Mountain Top Rd.. Follow directions as above.
