Are you a heavy armored combatant?  A rapier fighter?

The Shire of Mountain Edge welcomes all to our 15th Defenders Tourney, where the next Shire Heavy Armored Combat Defender and Rapier Defender will be awarded!

New This Year

The Shire has lifted its restriction against multiple Defenderships. If you wish to compete, you may do so if you are already a Defender or Champion of another branch. This year, the Shire’s newly invested Defenders will not be prohibited from competing in other Defender or Champion tournaments.

February 15th Council Meeting

The next Shire council meeting will be Friday evening February 15th at 6PM at the First Federal Bank community room in downtown Newberg.

All are welcome! Garb is not necessary.

The bank parking lot is accessible from 99W south - turn left after the Coffee Cottage, after 99W has split into south and north segments in downtown Newberg.

The Council will continue budget discussions at this meeting.

January 18th Council Meeting

The next Shire council meeting will be Friday evening January 18th at 6PM.

Location: First Federal Community Room in McMinnville - 118 NE 3rd St, McMinnville, OR 97128

Shire Governance Document and the Shire Financial Policy 2019 Update

The Shire is currently reviewing and updating the Shire Governance Document and the Shire Financial Policy. Major changes include revision to include reference to the authority to Summits policies and some formatting updates.

If you are interested in reading the proposed revision, please email the Seneschal for a copy.

The proposed revision will be voted on during the next Shire Meeting: January 18, 2019.

28th Acorn War

The 28th Acorn War to be held at a new site, Wennerberg Park in Carlton, Oregon!

Date: September 21-23, 2018

Site is Open: 12:00 p.m Friday until 3 p.m. Sunday

Location: Wennerberg Park, 1003 W Grant St, Carlton, OR 97111

"Volunteers, Merchants, and Teacher's needed, Oh My!"

- Senior Marshals Needed: Archery and Thrown Weapons

- Merchants

- Teachers/Instructors (So far we have classes with sewing, brewing, and oak gall ink-- and we would love to have more!)

- Volunteers: Gate, Water-bearers, Clean-up, Tear-down

There will be raffles for volunteers on Saturday and Sunday. Contact is Asny Brunsdottir (hreinker@gmail.com).

Please spread the word via social media and word of mouth! We are hoping to solidify details by August 15th.
